A search on www.cycletrader.com has similar 1986 to 1988 Savages listed for between $1300 and $2200 (~$2300 - ~$3400 canadian).
A 1987 Savage(17000 miles) recently sold on ebay for $1175($1836 canadian)
Why there is such a big difference between the NADA price and the KBB price, I don't know. NADA always seems to be lower, but not this much lower in my experience.
To me the $2500 asking price seems a bit high, but that's just me. If it's worth that to you, then ask what you think it's worth. Maybe someone else will agree it's worth $2500 as well. Best of luck in your sale.
